Grant awarded to Louth Dolphins from LSA

On Thursday evening with our Captains Lotti Wright and Leon Bailey we attended the Louth Sports Association (LSA) Community Awards 2023 and were extremely grateful to receive a cheque for £1000, of the £3,200 available. The awards took place at the Meridian Leisure Centre, hosted by their Chair, David Manders. 

The funds distributed by the LSA represent the interest accrued from the investment of the former Louth Swimming Pool proceeds, gifted to local sports and leisure groups to increase active participation in sport. Grants were also awarded to other well deserving sports clubs in the area including Louth Tri Club, Louth Cricket Club, Grimoldby Cricket Club, Louth Archery Club, Louth Hockey Club. 

As our club is run solely by volunteers and relies upon grants, fundraising and sponsorship, this donation is hugely appreciated. Massive thanks to Debbie Dickinson who submitted the application on behalf of the swimming club! 

As costs continue to rise this grant will help the club continue to provide affordable competitive swimming to the local community by maintaining our high level of coaching at a great facilities the Meridian Leisure Centre. 

It's always our aim to create a friendly family orientated Club which offers support to one another, giving its members the opportunity to reach their full potential and to generate life skills that are used for many years to come. With thanks again to the LSA for this funding.
