It's an honour to have the newly elected East Midlands Swim England President as part of our Louth Dolphins swimming club.

Congratulations Sarah Richardson!

Sarah was presented with the title at the Long Course Regional Championships in Derby on 1st May, where Sarah and her husband, Graham, were officiating.

We take a look at Sarah's impressive swimming career so far and celebrate her success as the current East Midlands Swim England President...

"I joined Louth SC as far as I recall in 1999/2000, as a swim-parent. I took my L1 teachers course and helped with Skills squad (C squad then). In 2006 I embarked upon the L2 Teacher/Coach course and eventually took on the lead coach position in C Squad.

I then became Team Manager and Events/Meets/Galas and Volunteers Organiser and kept all Club results on paper/database and became a Committee member for several years. It was then time to move up squads to B (Development) and A (Performance), assisting the lead coaches at sessions. I also worked with Harvey as Disability Coach Lead in 2014.

From 2012 I became the Master’s coach! I did that role then for 10 years and finally stopped my Coaching role in 2022.

Alongside coaching I first became a J2S Official in 2004. I was also involved with Lincs ASA as Honorary Secretary for Age Group Championships from 2014 to 2022, organising the championships and became Lincolnshire ASA President in 2020.

I also chair the Lincs ASA meetings as President and I am newly elected East Midlands Swim England President for 2023/2024, which allows me to attend various aquatic events as VIP guest, which I am looking forward to doing."
