Round 2 of the National Arena Junior League came round quickly and with it even more excitement at our home venue, the Meridian Leisure Centre here in Louth!

It was another very thrilling gala, watching the swimmers battle to win the top spot as a team! As always the main focus was PBs and Louth Dolphins did not disappoint! With the last gala less than a month ago for most swimmers, we saw more than 3 seconds being knocked off PBs! An incredible achievement for them all.

It was a close battle with the top spot once again awarded to Lincoln Vulcans - with Louth coming a close second. Well done to all of the clubs, all swimmers raced to the end and can be proud of their achievements.

The best part as always is seeing the kids feeling the nerves, swimming their hearts out and then finishing with big smiles on their faces! It’s important that they enjoy it and you could certainly see that on all of their faces!

The highlight of the night was the last 25m of the Squadron relay and every swimmer who took part was at the end of the lane cheering Maisie on! Our team spirit always shines through - it unites us as a club and what we stand for!

Thanks again to the whole Louth swim family from the coaches, officials, right through to the organisers who make it all happen! It’s also a real privilege to see the Captains and older swimmers really share their wisdom and look after the younger ones.

Here’s to round 3! Could we reach the top spot in the final round?! Oggy oggy oggy, oi oi oi!
