How do I find out more about the club?

Either email [email protected] or visit our website www.louth-dolphins-org.uk and complete a 'Contact Us' or 'Request a Trial' form.

Who do I speak to in the club to discuss …?

Membership/Invoice queries - You can talk to any member of the swim desk on Sundays between 4:45 – 6:00 p.m., located in the café area of the Meridian Leisure Centre.  Alternatively, you can email on [email protected] and one of the team will come back to you.

Coaching – please speak directly to your child’s coach, squad leader or Head Coach Kate Thompson.

Welfare issues – Jackie Wright/ Bryan Seagroatt are our Welfare Officers and can be contacted via email on [email protected].

Complaints - please follow the guidance in our club grievance procedure, or speak to a Committee member.

Suggestions - Lisa Roscoe and Di Adams are our parent/member liaison officers please speak to them or email on [email protected].  There is also a form on the website which can also be used.

How can I pay my invoices?

Invoices can be paid either by cash or cheque (made payable to ‘Louth Swimming Club’) at the swim desk on Sunday afternoons.  Or preferable via electronic banking, our bank details are on invoices.  Don’t forget monthly subs are to be paid on the first of the month by standing order.

How to check outstanding invoices:

Log onto Swim Club Manager via www.louth-dolphins.org.uk

Your dashboard should have a menu along the top looking like this:

Click on the red £

Any outstanding invoices will be highlighted in red.

My child cannot attend a training session, who do I tell?

Please DO NOT use Facebook to report a child’s absence.  By logging onto Swim Club Manager and following the steps below your child’s coach will automatically receive an email informing them of any absence:

Hover over the session your child cannot attend and a box will appear saying ‘can’t attend’.  Click on this, if appropriate give a reason e.g. illness/holiday.  Click on ‘Update’.

This automatically sends an email to your child’s coach.

My swimmer cannot swim because they are injured, what should I do?

Inform their coach through SCM, and ensure that you keep the coach informed of recovery.   Discuss with the coach on their return the possibility of a phased return to training.  It is important that coaches are aware of any injuries so they can alter training sets for your swimmer accordingly.

My child is entered for a competition but cannot now swim, what do I do?

Tell your coach/Team Leader AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  If possible at least 24 hours before the competition so that the swimmer can be withdrawn.  In some instances, the Club will be fined if insufficient notice is given.  If it is a team event, this gives the Team Manager time to find a replacement.

Where can I order the club kit from?

Children can order a named swim hat once they reach the Skills  squad.  Those in Pods can order a plain hat.  Both can be ordered on Swim Club Manager, on your dashboard under Club Shop.  Please ensure any instructions regarding the spellings of names are clearly marked.   Please note that our suppliers require us to have a minimum number on order, once hats/rucksacks are ordered they can take up to 4 weeks to arrive.  You will be emailed and notified via Facebook once the hats are ready for collection from Swim Desk.

Other club kit such as hoodies, T shirts and shorts can be ordered via SCM also.  Please contact Di Adams if you have any queries.

Does my child need any equipment?

Not until they reach Skills.  They will then require a kick board, pull buoy, fins and a centre line snorkel all clearly named and in a named mesh bag.  Please do not rush out to buy everything on one go, the Club has some pieces of equipment which can be borrowed.  Once they reach Dev A/Performance hand paddles are also required.  Again, equipment can be bought from Cojo’s where a discount will be given on equipment purchases or online.

How can I get my swimmers times?

Log onto Swim Club Manager, go to your swimmers’ details page.  The menu bar should look like this:

The first clock face relates to swim times, click on this.  You can then select the times you want to view for 25m/50m pool, stroke, distance or even by event.  There is also the option to select PBs.  These reports can be downloaded.

Or visit:  https://www.swimmingresults.org/individualbest/

How can I help the Club?

There are several ways in which you can help:

  • Keep us updated on any changes to contact/medical details.
  • Help raise funds. Monthly subs cover the cost of pool hire and additional training.  The extra social activities are subsidised by the Club through funds raised either by, joining the 100 Club, buying a raffle ticket or supporting us through easyfundraising.  If you regularly shop online please consider doing so via this website, www.easyfundraising.org.uk. With thousands of online retailers you can help raise funds for the club at no extra cost to yourself.
  • Volunteer – you don’t have to spend hours at the pool volunteering. Just offering to help serve drinks at galas can be a big help.  Or volunteer to be an official, it’s easier than you think!
